Amazing grace (how sweet the sound)
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.

I'd venture to say it's a rare person who hasn't heard "Amazing Grace," or doesn't know the melody to this beautiful hymn.  Perhaps because despite being written in the 1770s, longing for grace is timeless.   And don't we all need more grace, given and received?
